The Unchanging Call to Prayer

SUMMARY: The narrator's grandfather witnessed the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and noticed that the only thing that has remained unchanged is the call to prayer.

Yahya related to me from Malik from his paternal uncle Abu Suhayl ibn Malik that his uncle's father said, "I recognise nothing nowadays of what I saw the people (ie the companions of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace ) doing except the call to prayer".
