Shaytan's Tactics During Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith explains that when the call to prayer is made, Shaytan retreats and when the iqama is said, he comes back and tries to distract people from their prayers.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When the call to prayer is made Shaytan retreats, passing wind, so that he will not hear the adhan. When the adhan is completed he comes back, until, when the iqama is said, he retreats again. When the iqama is completed, he comes back, until he comes between a man and his self and says, 'Think of such and such, think of such and such,' which he was not thinking about before, until the man does not know how much he has prayed".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be aware of shaytans tactics during prayer , Focus on supplications with Allah SWT without distraction or interruption by shaytans tricks .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how Shaytan tries to disrupt our prayers. When we are called for prayer, known as adhan, Shaytan retreats so he cannot hear it. After the adhan is completed, he returns until the iqama is said. The iqama is a second call for prayer which signals that it's time for us to start praying. When this happens, Shaytan retreats again until after we finish our prayers. He then comes back and tries to distract us by making us think of things we weren't thinking about before so that we forget how much of our prayer we have already prayed. We should be aware of these tactics and try not to let them affect us during our supplications or du'as with Allah SWT.
