Menstruation vs Vein in Prayer

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that a woman's period is not the same as a vein, and when her period approaches she should leave off from prayer, but when it passes she can wash the blood away and pray.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Fatima bint Abu Hubaysh said, 'Messenger of Allah, I never become pure - am I permitted to pray?' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'That is a vein, not menstruation. So when your period approaches, leave off from the prayer, and when its grip leaves, wash the blood from yourself and pray'. "

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for women's bodies , Mindfulness of one's own body , Understanding between menstruation & veins in prayer context .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that menstruation and veins are two different things. When a woman is having her period, she should not pray because it is considered impure according to Islamic teachings. However, if there is any blood coming out of her body due to a vein or other reasons, then she can wash the blood away and continue praying. The Prophet Muhammad also taught us that we should be respectful of women who are on their periods by not asking them too many questions or making them feel uncomfortable about their situation. This hadith also teaches us to be mindful of our own bodies and take care of ourselves so we can stay healthy enough to perform our prayers properly.
