This hadith is about how one should properly perform wudu before prayer according to Islamic teachings. It explains that one should wash their face, arms up until their elbows, wipe their head with wet hands, then wipe over their leather socks if they are already ritually purified by wudu before putting them on. If a person puts on leather socks without having done wudu beforehand they must take them off in order for the ritual purification of washing feet during wudu to be complete. The hadith also mentions what should be done if someone has forgotten or made a mistake while performing wudhu such as forgetting or not being able to wipe over their leather socks after doing so with wet hands when they were still wet from washing during the ritual purification process of doing wadhu before prayer; in this case one must repeat both wiping over the leather socks as well as repeating prayer but not repeating full ritual purification of doing Wadhu again from scratch unless taking off ones’s leather socks is necessary for completing it properly such as when putting them on without having done Wadhu beforehand in which case one must take them off again in order for full ritual purification of washing feet during Wadhu process can be completed properly afterwards before praying again .
