QUICK LESSONS:

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about humility and how it can be expressed through wiping one's head with water. It was narrated by Yahya from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that Abu Urwa ibn az-Zubayr used to take off his turban and wipe his head with water as a sign of humility. This act of wiping one's head is known as Taswiyyah in Arabic which means to humble oneself before Allah SWT. It is an act of submission to Allah SWT and shows that we are nothing without Him. By performing this act we are reminded that all our power comes from Allah SWT alone and He should be thanked for all His blessings upon us.

Humility is an important trait in Islam as it helps us stay grounded even when we have achieved success or wealth in life. We should always remember that everything belongs to Allah SWT and He has given us these blessings only for a short period of time so they should not be taken for granted or misused in any way. We must always remain humble no matter what our status or position may be because this will help us stay focused on our purpose in life which is pleasing Allah SWT above all else.
