EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the wudoo, or ablution, that Ali did. It was similar to the ritual performed by Prophet Muhammad. When doing wudoo, one must wash their hands thoroughly before washing their face three times and forearms three times. After this they must wipe their head before washing their feet up to the ankles. After completing his own wudoo, Ali drank some of the leftover water as a demonstration of what he saw from Prophet Muhammad's own ritual. This hadith teaches us that we should follow in our prophet's footsteps when it comes to performing rituals such as ablutions for prayer or other religious activities. It also emphasizes cleanliness and respect for our bodies by taking care in how we perform these rituals with attention to detail and thoroughness.
