Expressing devotion to Allah through prayer and supplications such as talbiyah when going for pilgrimage or any other religious activity.

This hadith speaks of two companions of Prophet Muhammad, Ali bin Abi Talib and al-Husain, who were reciting a supplication known as talbiyah until they reached the Jamrah. The talbiyah is a special supplication that Muslims recite during Hajj or Umrah to express their devotion to Allah. It was narrated by 'Ikrimah that he heard Ali bin Abi Talib reciting this supplication until he reached the Jamrah, which is a stone pillar in Mina where pilgrims throw stones at it during Hajj or Umra. Furthermore, Ali told him that Prophet Muhammad also used to recite this supplication when he went for Hajj or Umra.
