Cursing Those Who Distracted From Praying

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was at one of the crossing points of the ditch on the day of al-Ahzab and he cursed those who distracted them from praying in the middle of the day.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) from the Prophet that On the day of al-Ahzab, he was at one of the crossing points of the ditch and he said: 'They distracted us from the middle prayer until the sunset; may Allah fill their graves and their houses - or their bellies and their houses - with fire".

EXPLANATIONS:
On a certain day known as al-Ahzab, Prophet Muhammad was at one of the crossing points of a ditch. He noticed that they were distracted from praying in between noon and sunset. In response to this distraction, he cursed those who caused it by saying that Allah should fill their graves and houses with fire. This hadith teaches us to be mindful about our prayers and not let anything distract us from it. It also shows us how important prayer is for Muslims as it is an obligation upon them to perform five times a day. Furthermore, this hadith also warns us against distracting others from their prayers or any other religious obligations as we will be held accountable for our actions on Judgment Day.
