Musnad Ahmad 1285 (Book 5, Hadith 689) #34915
Listening to Both Sides Before Judging

SUMMARY: The hadith is about not making a judgement until both sides of the story have been heard.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah said: "If two men come to you for judgement, do not judge in favour of the first one until you listen to what the other one says. Then you will know how to judge'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Listen carefully before judging , Strive for fairness and impartiality in judgements
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when two people come to us for judgement, we should not make a decision in favour of one person until we have heard what the other person has to say. This is important because it ensures that justice is served and that both parties are given an equal opportunity to present their case. It also encourages us to be patient and listen carefully before making any decisions. We should strive for fairness and impartiality in our judgements, as this will ensure that justice prevails.
