EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of reading and memorizing the Quran. It is narrated that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said that Prophet Muhammad said that whoever reads and learns the Quran by heart will be granted intercession for ten of his family members who were destined for Hellfire. This means that if someone reads and memorizes the Quran, Allah will forgive those ten people from their sins so they can enter Paradise instead. This hadith teaches us how important it is to read and learn from Allah's words in order to gain His mercy and forgiveness not only for ourselves but also our loved ones. It also encourages us to strive towards becoming better Muslims by learning more about our faith through studying its holy book - The Qur’an - as well as other Islamic texts such as Hadiths or Sunnah which are collections of sayings or actions attributed to Prophet Muhammad himself.
