Ask questions related to religion/important matters respectfully and appropriately; Wash your private parts before performing wudoo or salah; Be modest when talking with people especially those from the opposite gender such as daughters of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) .

This hadith is about a man who was too shy to ask the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ directly about his excessive madhi. He asked Al-Miqdad instead who advised him to wash his private parts and testicles and do wudoo as for prayer. This hadith teaches us that we should not be ashamed of asking questions related to our religion or any other matters that are important for us. It also teaches us the importance of cleanliness in Islam which includes washing our private parts before performing wudoo or salah. Furthermore, it emphasizes on modesty when talking with people especially those from the opposite gender such as daughters of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in this case.
