Caring for Sacrificial Animals and Giving Charity

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed Ali to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their skins and blankets in charity.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah told me to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their skins and blankets in charity.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِجُلُودِهَا وَجِلَالِهَا‏.‏
