Musnad Ahmad 1161 (Book 5, Hadith 574) #34800
The Night of Badr and Supplication

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the only one awake on the night of Badr and he prayed facing a tree until morning came. Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad was the only horseman among them on that day.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: I remember us on the night of Badr, there was no one among us who was not sleeping, except the Messenger of Allah who prayed facing a tree and offered supplication until morning came, and there was no horseman among us on the day of Badr except Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad.

QUICK LESSONS:
Spend time in prayer & supplicate to Allah even during difficult times or when surrounded by chaos/fear; Emulate example set by beloved Prophet Muhammad; Dedicate ourselves to prayer & supplicating for help from Allah whenever we face difficulties in life; Put trust in God even during times of difficulty/danger .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the night before the Battle of Badr, all of Prophet Muhammad's companions were asleep except for him. He spent his time in prayer and supplication to Allah, facing a tree until morning came. On that day, there was only one horseman among them - Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to spend time in prayer and supplicate to Allah even during difficult times or when we are surrounded by chaos or fear. It also shows us how devoted our beloved Prophet Muhammad was to his faith and how he put his trust in Allah even during times of difficulty or danger. We should strive to emulate this example by dedicating ourselves to prayer and supplicating for help from Allah whenever we face difficulties in life.
