Put others before yourself in times of need; Show compassion & love towards those around you; Be selfless when helping those in need.

This hadith speaks to the importance of sacrificing one's own desires and needs for others. It was narrated that Sa’d ibn Ibraheem heard ‘Abdullah ibn Shaddad say that ‘Ali said he never saw the Messenger of Allah mention both of his parents for anyone except Sa’d ibn Malik. On the day of Uhud, he started saying “Shoot, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you!” This shows us how much love and care the Prophet had towards others; even when it came to something as precious as his own parents, he was willing to sacrifice them in order to help someone else. This teaches us a valuable lesson about selflessness and putting others before ourselves in times of need.
