It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake his family up during the last ten nights of Ramadan and tie up his izar.
The last ten days of Ramadan are especially important because they contain Laylat al-Qadr, which is one of the most blessed nights in Islam. On this night, Allah's mercy descends upon His servants like raindrops from heaven and He forgives those who sincerely repent for their sins. Therefore it is important that we make use of this opportunity by staying awake throughout these nights so that we can reap its rewards both spiritually and physically.
