Musnad Ahmad 1087 (Book 5, Hadith 504) #34730
Expressing Gratitude for Blessings

SUMMARY: Gratitude should be expressed for the blessings one receives, and not to deny them or attribute them to something else.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet said: " 'And have you made it your livelihood’ ie, your gratitude 'that you should declare it false?' Al-Waqi'ah 56.82". Then he said: '(That is when) you say, 'We were given rain by such-and-such a star".

QUICK LESSONS:
Express your appreciation towards Allah for His blessings .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about expressing gratitude for the blessings that one receives. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that when we are given rain by Allah, we should not attribute it to something else such as a star. Instead, we should express our gratitude and thankfulness towards Allah for His blessings. This hadith teaches us that it is important to recognize the source of our blessings and show appreciation towards it. We must remember that all good things come from Allah and He deserves all of our thanks and praise. It also teaches us to be humble in recognizing where our blessings come from, rather than attributing them to something else or taking credit ourselves.
