EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man and woman from the Jewish community who committed illegal sexual intercourse, which was considered a serious crime in their society. When they were brought before Allah's Messenger, he asked them what punishment was prescribed in the Torah for such an offense. The Jews replied that they would announce their crime and lash them as punishment. However, Abdullah bin Salam pointed out that this was not true; rather, the Torah contained instructions for stoning those guilty of such an offense. Upon hearing this, Allah's Messenger gave orders that both of them should be stoned to death as punishment for their crime. Abdullah bin Umar reported seeing the man leaning over the woman in order to protect her from being hit by stones during this process.

This hadith serves as a reminder of how seriously Allah takes unlawful sexual intercourse; it also shows us how important it is to follow His commands even if we do not understand why He has given certain instructions or punishments at first glance. It also teaches us that we should always seek knowledge and truth when faced with difficult questions or situations so that we can make informed decisions based on facts rather than assumptions or hearsay.

The values taught by this hadith are justice, obedience towards God’s commands, seeking knowledge and truth before making decisions or judgments about others’ actions/behaviors/situations etc., protecting those weaker than oneself even if one disagrees with them etc..
