EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of family ties and relationships in Islam. It was narrated that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said he asked the Prophet Muhammad why he was marrying from Quraish and not from among them. The Prophet replied by asking if there was someone available for marriage, to which 'Ali responded with the daughter of Hamzah. The Prophet then explained that she was his brother through breastfeeding, meaning they were related through a foster relationship as opposed to a blood relationship. This highlights how important it is for Muslims to maintain strong familial ties and relationships even if they are not related by blood or marriage. It also shows how important it is for Muslims to be mindful of their actions and words when interacting with others as even small gestures can have a lasting impact on those around us.
