Pray two Rak'ahs after each prescribed prayer except Fajr and Asar

According to the hadith narrated by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to pray two rak'ahs after every prescribed prayer except Fajr and 'Asr. This is known as sunnah prayer which is a voluntary act of worship that Muslims can perform in addition to their obligatory prayers. It is believed that performing sunnah prayers brings many rewards from Allah and helps one stay connected with Him throughout the day.
