Sahih al-Bukhari 3625, 3626 (Book 61, Hadith 130) #3462
Secrets Revealed by the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) revealed to his daughter Fatima two secrets, one of which made her weep and the other made her laugh.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet in his fatal illness, called his daughter Fatima and told her a secret because of which she started weeping. Then he called her and told her another secret, and she started laughing. When I asked her about that, she replied, The Prophet told me that he would die in his fatal illness, and so I wept, but then he secretly told me that from amongst his family, I would be the first to join him, and so I laughed".

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, narrated by 'Aisha, it is mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ called his daughter Fatima and told her a secret which made her weep. He then told her another secret which made her laugh. When asked about it, she replied that the first secret was that he would die in his fatal illness and so she wept but then he secretly told her that from amongst his family, she would be the first to join him in death and so she laughed. This hadith teaches us about how even in difficult times like when facing death, one should remain hopeful for what lies ahead as well as have faith in Allah's plan for us all. It also shows us how much love and care the Prophet ﷺ had for his family members especially towards Fatima who was very close to him.
