The Consequences of Lying About Hadith

SUMMARY: It is wrong to lie about narrating a hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever narrates a hadeeth from me thinking it to be false, is the worst of liars".
