QUICK LESSONS:
Be thankful and humble before God

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of being grateful to Allah for all that He provides us with. We should never deny Him by attributing our blessings to any other source. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used this verse from Surah al-Waqi'ah as an example in his teaching. He said “And instead of thanking Allah for the provision He gives you, you deny Him by disbelief” [al-Waqi'ah 56.82]. In this hadith, he also addressed his companions as “boys” which shows how important it is to be thankful and humble before God even at a young age. We should always remember that everything we have comes from God and we must thank Him accordingly.
