Check eyes & ears before sacrificing a cow

This hadith emphasizes the importance of checking the eyes and ears of a cow before sacrificing it. Even if something is wrong with its horn or if it is lame, one should still sacrifice it as long as it can reach the place of sacrifice. This teaches us to be mindful when making sacrifices to Allah and to ensure that we are offering only our best in His name. It also shows us how important following instructions from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was for his companions, who were willing to go out their way to make sure they were doing things correctly according to his teachings.
