QUICK LESSONS:
Respect differing opinions based on Islamic teachings; Follow prophetic example in matters of faith; Unite despite disagreements .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Abdullah bin Shaqeeq recounts a disagreement between two companions of the Prophet Muhammad - Uthman and Ali. Uthman forbade the practice of Tamattu', which is when someone performs Umrah during Hajj season but does not perform their sacrifice until after they have left Makkah. On the other hand, Ali enjoined this practice. When asked why he was doing so despite it being forbidden by Uthman, he replied that they did so with the Prophet Muhammad himself. This hadith teaches us that even though we may disagree on certain matters within Islam, we should still respect each other's opinions as long as they are based on Islamic teachings and evidence from the Quran or Sunnah.
