QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous with your possessions and share them with those who need them more than you do. Use gifts appropriately so as not to hurt anyone's feelings or make them feel jealous or envious towards you .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of generosity and sharing. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was given a suit of pure silk as a gift, which he then sent to his companion Ali ibn Abi Talib ﷺ. When Ali went to meet him wearing this suit, the Prophet showed signs of anger on his face. In response, Ali decided to share this gift among his womenfolk instead of keeping it for himself alone. This teaches us that we should always be generous with our possessions and not be selfish or greedy with them; rather we should share them with others who may need them more than us. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us that even if someone gives us something valuable as a gift, we should not flaunt it in front of others but rather use it in an appropriate manner so as not to hurt anyone's feelings or make them feel jealous or envious towards us.
