The Unfindable Companion

SUMMARY: The Hour of Judgement will not come until one of the Prophet Muhammad's companions is sought and cannot be found.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah said: "The Hour will not begin until one of my Companions is sought as a lost thing is sought and cannot be found'.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, speaks about the coming of the Day of Judgement. It states that before this day arrives, one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad will be sought after like a lost thing and cannot be found. This implies that this companion will have passed away before the Day of Judgement arrives. It also serves as a reminder to us all to stay true to our faith and prepare for our own judgement day as we do not know when it may arrive. We should strive to live our lives in accordance with Islamic teachings so that we can meet Allah with good deeds on our record.
