This hadith is about seeking guidance from Allah. It was narrated by Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said that the Prophet Muhammad said to ask Allah, may He be exalted, for guidance and proper aim. When asking for guidance, one should think of directions when travelling; this means that one should seek direction in life from the Almighty Creator. When asking for proper aim or success in life, one should think of aiming an arrow; this means that one should focus on their goals with precision and accuracy like an archer focuses on his target before shooting an arrow. This hadith teaches us to always seek help from the Almighty Creator in all matters of life as He is the only One who can provide us with true guidance and success.
