Obey your leaders with respect and humility; Be generous towards others by granting them rights such as inheritance when they deserve it; Follow your leader faithfully; Listen carefully when your leader speaks; Show loyalty towards your leader; Have faith in what your leader says even if you don't understand it fully yet .

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's declaration of 'Ali as his mawla, or one who has the right to inherit from him. Mawla refers to a person who manumits a slave and gives them their freedom, and also grants them the right to inherit from them. On this day at Ghadir Khumm, thirteen men stood up and testified that they heard the Prophet say "If I am a person's mawla, then Ali is also his mawla." This declaration was made in order for people to understand that those who follow Ali are just like those who follow Muhammad himself. It teaches us that we should be loyal and devoted followers of our leaders and obey their commands with respect and humility. It also teaches us that we should be generous towards others by granting them rights such as inheritance when they deserve it.
