Angels and House Entry

SUMMARY: The angels do not enter a house in which there is a person who is in a state of ritual impurity, an image, or a dog.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) from the Prophet : "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a junub person or an image or a dog'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Keep your home clean and free from anything that may prevent the angels from entering it; Stay away from activities that would make you ritually impure; Worship only Allah; Avoid unclean animals/things; Be pious.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that angels will not enter any house that contains someone who is in the state of ritual impurity, an image, or even just one dog. Ritual impurity refers to when someone has performed certain acts such as sexual intercourse and must perform ablution before they can be considered pure again. Images are forbidden because they are seen as forms of idolatry and worshiping something other than Allah. Dogs are also forbidden because they are seen as unclean animals according to Islamic teachings. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to keep our homes clean and free from anything that may prevent the angels from entering it. We should also remember to stay away from activities that would make us ritually impure so we can always be ready for the presence of Allah's angels at any time.
