Sahih al-Bukhari 3585 (Book 61, Hadith 94) #3426
The Prophet's (ﷺ) Miracle at the Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to stand by a trunk of a date palm while delivering sermons until the pulpit was made for him. When he came near it, the trunk made a sound like that of a pregnant she-camel and it became quiet when he put his hand over it.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: That he heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying, "The roof of the Mosque was built over trunks of date palms working as pillars. When the Prophet delivered a sermon, he used to stand by one of those trunks till the pulpit was made for him, and he used it instead. Then we heard the trunk sending a sound like of a pregnant she-camel till the Prophet came to it, and put his hand over it, then it became quiet".

Respect places of worship and those who teach us valuable lessons in life .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about an incident that happened in the mosque when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was delivering his sermon. He used to stand by one of the trunks of date palms which were being used as pillars in the mosque until they built him a pulpit. When he came close to this particular trunk it started making sounds like that of a pregnant she-camel but when he put his hand over it, it became quiet. This incident is seen as miraculous and shows us how much respect and reverence we should have for our places of worship such as mosques or churches or temples etc., and also how much respect we should have for our teachers who are imparting knowledge to us.
