EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the loyalty of Uthman towards Allah and His Messenger. Uthman was one of those who responded to the call of Allah and believed in what Muhammad was sent with. He migrated twice for the sake of his faith and attained the honour of becoming a son-in-law to Prophet Muhammad. He swore allegiance to him and never disobeyed or betrayed him until his death. This hadith teaches us that we should be loyal to our faith by responding positively when called upon by God or His messenger. We should also be obedient towards them in order for us to attain honour from them as well as from God Himself.
