The Prophet's Method of Wudu

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) method of performing wudu.

It was narrated that 'Uthman (رضي الله عنه) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah as doing wudoo’. He washed his face three times and his hands three times, and he wiped his head and washed his feet.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ غَسْلًا‏.‏

This hadith narrates the method of wudoo, or ritual ablution, as practiced by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is narrated that 'Uthman saw the Messenger of Allah performing wudoo and washing his face three times, hands three times, wiping his head and washing his feet. This practice has been adopted by Muslims all over the world as a part of their daily religious practice.
