Cancelling Transactions in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that two parties involved in a transaction have the option to cancel it as long as they have not parted or there is a condition which gives them the option to do so.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah said: "The two parties to a transaction have the option (of cancelling it) so long as they have not parted or there is a condition which gives the option to cancel'.
