This hadith is about trusting in Allah and His provision. It was narrated from Abu Tameem that he heard 'Umar bin al-Khattab say that he heard the Prophet say that if one puts their trust in Allah, He will provide for them just as He provides for the birds. The birds go out with empty stomachs and come back with full stomachs, indicating that they have been provided with sustenance by Allah.
