QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect to symbols of faith , Follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of respecting symbols of faith, even if they are not alive or have no power. In this case, 'Umar bin al-Khattab was showing respect to the Black Stone by kissing it despite knowing that it was just a stone. He did this because he saw Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who was an example for all Muslims, do this same action. This teaches us that we should always show respect to symbols of faith and follow in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We should also remember that these symbols are not alive and have no power on their own; rather, they represent something greater than themselves which we must strive to understand and appreciate.
