Perform ritual bath or ghusl before attending weekly congregational prayers on Fridays

This hadith highlights the importance of performing ghusl before attending the weekly congregational prayer on Fridays. It was narrated from Salim bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar from his father that one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad entered the mosque one Friday when Umar bin al-Khattab was standing and addressing the people. Umar asked him what time it was, to which he replied that he had just done wudoo after hearing the call to prayer and came straight to mosque. Umar then reminded him that Prophet Muhammad used to enjoin them to do ghusl before coming for prayers on Fridays, emphasizing its importance in Islam. This hadith teaches us that we should take extra care in preparing ourselves for our weekly congregational prayers by taking a ritual bath or ghusl beforehand, as it is an important part of our religious obligations as Muslims.
