Musnad Ahmad 190 (Book 2, Hadith 107) #33882
Gentle Touch of the Black Stone

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad advised Umar to be gentle and not harm the weak when touching the Black Stone, and to turn towards it and recite a prayer if he could not reach it.

It was narrated from ʼUmar bin al Khattab رضي الله عنه that the Prophet said: "O 'Umar, you are a strong man. Do not crowd others to touch the Black Stone, lest you harm the weak. If you find a gap, then touch it, otherwise turn to face it and say la Ilaha illallah, and Allahu akbar'.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how we should approach the Black Stone during Hajj or Umrah. The Prophet Muhammad advised Umar to be gentle and not harm the weak when touching the Black Stone, as well as to turn towards it and recite a prayer if he could not reach it. This teaches us that we should always show respect for those who are weaker than us, even in our religious practices. We should also remember that Allah is greater than anything else in this world, so we must always put Him first in our lives.

The Prophet's advice also reminds us that even though performing Hajj or Umrah can be difficult at times, we must still strive to do our best with humility and patience. We must remember that Allah will reward us for our efforts no matter what happens during these pilgrimages.
