Spread Islamic teachings throughout the world; Appreciate efforts made by others; Respect those who come after us; Take responsibility for our actions.

In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ compares himself to other prophets by saying that he has built a house completely and excellently except for a place of one brick. This is an analogy for how he has completed the religion of Islam with all its teachings and laws, but there is still one more thing left to do - which is to spread it throughout the world. This means that even though we have all the teachings and laws in place, it is still our responsibility as Muslims to share them with others so they can benefit from them too. The Prophet ﷺ also mentions how people will admire his work when they enter the house - this could be interpreted as a sign of respect from those who come after him who will appreciate his efforts in completing such an important task.
