Ranks of People in Paradise

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ said that the people of Paradise will be divided into 120 ranks, 80 from this nation and 40 from all other nations.

It was narrated from Sulaiman bin Buraidah, from his father, that the Prophet said: "The people of Paradise are one hundred and twenty ranks, eighty from this nation and forty from all other nations".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ عِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةُ صَفٍّ ثَمَانُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ وَأَرْبَعُونَ مِنْ سَائِرِ الأُمَمِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the people who will enter paradise. It is narrated by Sulaiman bin Buraidah, from his father, that the Prophet said that there are 120 ranks in paradise and 80 of them are for this nation while 40 are for all other nations. This hadith teaches us to strive to be among those who will enter paradise and to do good deeds so we can reach a higher rank in it. We should also remember that everyone has an equal chance at entering paradise regardless of their nationality or background as long as they do good deeds and follow Allah's commands.
