Sunan Ibn Majah 4272 (Book 37, Hadith 173) #33628
Praying in the Grave

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that when a person dies, they will be able to sit up in their grave and wipe their eyes before praying.

It was narrated from Jabir that the Prophet said: "When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is made to appear as if it is setting. He sits up, wipes his eyes and says: 'Let me pray.’"
