The Place of the Dead

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that when a person dies, they will be shown their place in either Paradise or Hell every morning and evening until the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet said: "When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise, then he will be shown his seat in Paradise, and if he is one of the people of Hell, then he will be shown his seat in Hell. And it is said: 'This is your place until you are raised on the Day of Resurrection.’"
