QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful about your actions
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud warns against engaging in practices that were common during the period known as the "Period of Ignorance". This period was before Islam and it was a time when people did not follow any religion or laws. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised people to stay away from these practices, such as slapping one's face, tearing one's clothes, and calling out loudly. He said that anyone who does these things is not part of his community. This hadith teaches us to be mindful about our actions and to avoid doing anything that goes against Islamic teachings.
