Sunan Ibn Majah 4235 (Book 37, Hadith 136) #33591
Greed and Repentance in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that humans are never satisfied with what they have and will always want more, but Allah is merciful and accepts the repentance of those who seek it.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would love to have a third along with them. Nothing could satisfy him except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents".
