Sunan Ibn Majah 4211 (Book 37, Hadith 112) #33567
The Sin of Injustice and Severing Ties of Kinship

SUMMARY: Injustice and severing ties of kinship are the most sinful acts that will be punished in this world and the hereafter.

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah said: "There is no sin more deserving that Allah hasten the punishment in this world, in addition to what is stored up for him in the Hereafter – than injustice and severing the ties of kinship".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the consequences of committing sins, particularly injustice and severing ties with one's family. It was narrated by Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah said that there is no sin more deserving to be punished in this world, in addition to what is stored up for him in the Hereafter than injustice and severing ties with one's family. This means that these two sins are so serious that they will be punished both here on earth as well as in the afterlife. This hadith teaches us to always strive for justice, even if it means going against our own interests or desires, and to maintain strong relationships with our families at all times. We should also remember that any wrongdoings we commit will not go unpunished; Allah has promised retribution for those who transgress His laws.
