Sunan Ibn Majah 4071 (Book 36, Hadith 146) #33426
Beware of the False Messiah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned of a false messiah, known as the Dajjal, who will have a blind left eye and abundant hair. He will bring with him a Paradise and Hell, but they are not what they seem.

It was narrated that Hudhaifah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Dajjal (False Christ) is blind in his left eye and has abundant hair. With him will be a Paradise and a Hell, but his Hell is Paradise and his Paradise is Hell'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek divine guidance from Allah alone .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned his followers about the coming of a false messiah known as the Dajjal. He described this figure as having a blind left eye and abundant hair. He will bring with him both a paradise and hell, but these are not what they seem to be; his paradise is actually hell and his hell is actually paradise. This hadith serves to remind us that we should always be wary of those who claim to have divine authority or knowledge because it may not always be true or from God's guidance. We should also remember that only God knows what is truly good for us in this life and in the hereafter, so we must seek His guidance at all times if we want to find true success in both worlds.
