This hadith speaks about the lineage of the beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by Kulaib bin Wail who asked Zainab bint Abi Salama about the tribe to which the prophet belonged to. She replied that he belonged to the tribe of Mudar and was from the offspring of An-Nadr bin Kinana. This hadith highlights how important it is for us to know our roots and be proud of them as it is a part of our identity and culture that we should never forget or neglect. It also teaches us that we should always strive to learn more about our history so that we can better understand ourselves and where we come from in order to make informed decisions in life based on knowledge rather than assumptions or hearsay.
