Sunan Ibn Majah 3978 (Book 36, Hadith 53) #33333
Striving in Jihad for Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that the best people are those who strive in Jihad for Allah and those who worship Allah and stay away from evil.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that a man came to the Prophet and said: "Which of the people is best?" He said: "A man who strives in Jihad in the cause of Allah with himself and his wealth". He said: "Then who?" He said: "A man in a mountain pass who worships Allah and leaves the people from his evil".
