Sunan Ibn Majah 3943 (Book 36, Hadith 18) #33298
Staying United in Faith

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad warned his followers not to turn away from their faith and fight each other after he is gone.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: "Woe to you! Do not turn back into disbelievers after I am gone, striking one another’s necks".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ وَيْحَكُمْ - أَوْ وَيْلَكُمْ - لاَ تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad was warning his followers not to turn away from their faith and fight each other after he is gone. He wanted them to stay united in their faith and remain loyal to Allah's teachings. He reminded them that if they were to go against this, then they would be met with a great punishment from Allah. This hadith teaches us the importance of staying united in our faith and avoiding any kind of conflict or disagreement between believers.
