Sunan Ibn Majah 3932 (Book 36, Hadith 7) #33287
The Sanctity of Believers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was circumambulating the Kabah and praising its sanctity, while also emphasizing that the sanctity of a believer is greater before Allah than the sanctity of the Kabah.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah circumambulating the Ka’bah and saying: 'How good you are and how good your fragrance; how great you are and how great your sanctity. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the sanctity of the believer is greater before Allah than your sanctity, his blood and his wealth, and to think anything but good of him.’"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of believers in Islam and their relationship with Allah. It was narrated by Abdullah bin 'Amr that he saw Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) circumambulating around the Kaaba and praising its sanctity. However, he went on to emphasize that even though it is important to recognize and respect this holy site, it is more important to recognize and respect believers as their sanctity is greater before Allah than even that of Kaaba's. This hadith teaches us about how we should prioritize our relationships with other people over material things or places in order to be closer to God. We should always think good thoughts about others as this will bring us closer to God's grace.
