Reciting "Qul Huwa Allahu ahad" Equivalent to One Third of the Quran

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that reciting the phrase "Qul Huwa Allahu ahad" is equivalent to one third of the Quran.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah said: "Qul Huwa Allahu ahad Say: He is Allah, (the) One is equivalent to one third of the Quran".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏"‏ ‏{قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ}‏ تَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ
